The Alphabet

Miss Nelson is missing!!!!

This story is about a group of third grade students who don't appreciate their teacher very much. As a result, they get a surprise. It's not a very good surprise, but the students learn a valuable lesson.
As part of our activities for this story, you will write three sentences explaining why your regular teacher or English teacher are important to you or why you appreciate them. They don't have to be long sentences, but make sure they are complete sentences. We will be sharing them in class. There will be a bonus for all those who take the time and work on this.

Our English Week activities

From March 23-27, 2009, we celebrated English Week here at our school. The first graders competed in the Picture Bee, where they had to identify aproximately 150 vocabulary words. Congratulations to Abigail, Cristina and Natalia in this competition. The second and third graders competed in our traditional Spelling Bee where Yaritza, Sarah and Yamil won the first three places. The third graders Keysha, David and Gabriela won the first three places at the third grade poster contest. Keep up the wonderful work! All these competitions had one goal in mind which was to get our students involved and motivated with their English class. Up next will be the PPAA's ... I'll keep you posted.
